About Us
Life Transitions' core purpose is to significantly increase an employees' performance
within the workplace through providing
a consultancy for both individuals and organisations in the areas
of competency based leadership, coaching, selection, interviewing
and change management. We have a passion to see people develop,
adjust to change and realise their potential.
Richard Braybrooke
Richard Braybrooke BA Hons, FCIPD is a professional and energetic
Business Consultant with well-rounded experience in Human Resource
management and development. With a honours degree
in Business Studies Richard is a Fellow of the
Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. His background
includes senior HR positions in the engineering, retail and financial
services sectors including HR Director of Noble Lowndes, a leading
international employee benefits consultancy.
Richard has also had experience in a London based headhunting firm
and for ten years in a senior consulting role with a leading international
career management firm. Richard is currently Course Tutor in the
CIPD’s Postgraduate Certificate in Talent and Career Management
(validated by University of Surrey). To find out more please

Catherine Gilbert
Catherine Gilbert, MA (Cantab), MBA, is an independent
Career Coach working with individuals on their career management needs
and supporting HR Managers in organisations to improve individual
employee performance. As well as supporting organisations in designing
and implementing career management programmes to improve employee
engagement and retention, she has also created and delivered
programmes to support managers through change following mergers and
acquisitions.
Catherine’s background includes a long and successful
career running the largest UK operation of an international career
management consultancy, where she grew the business and created and
implemented the delivery of new career management programmes,
including the accreditation of new consultants. From this and her
earlier careers in Executive Search and Education, she gained an
in-depth understanding of what it takes to be successful in any career
and has often appeared on TV, radio and in the print media as an
expert on career management issues.
Richard Skipp
Richard has over 25 years’ experience of helping people become more
successful at work. He led personnel and L&D teams both in the
biotechnology industry and in national public sector organisations.
For the past eight years he has worked as a business psychology
consultant, assessing people for selection or development and coaching
them so that they become more effective.
He is an Oxford graduate and a member of the Chartered Institution of
Personnel Management. He has a Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring and
has been qualified to use a range of psychometric instruments,
including Hogan 15FQ, Orpheus and Watson – Glaser.
Mercia Braybrooke
Mercia Braybrooke is a qualified Counsellor with a master's
degree in Organisation Consulting who worked for many years with individuals in organisations
following traumatic incidents at work. The valuable insights she
gained into the effects of sudden change on organisations and individuals
and the benefits to both of understanding and working with the
process of transition has for many years informed her work in Organisational
Consulting. She also supports the business development and administration
functions at LTC.
